“The bee is more honored than other animals, not because she labors, but because she labors for others” – Saint John Chrysostom – (archbishop of Constantinople, 347-407)
As we celebrate or acknowledge the Labor Day holiday today, may we continue to recognize the disparate treatment of laborers, racial and gender gaps in pay, and inequitable systems in which we work. Just as the bee labors for others, may we all do our part to labor for others by fighting injustice and doing our part to create a more equitable, inclusive, and just world.
